Science with Mahalia's dad Mark!

Nga mihi nui ki a Mark for coming in to share some of his awesome experiments with R23 - we loved it! We made clouds in a bottle, elephant toothpaste and vortex cannons. Mark used his smoke machine to show how the air coming out of the cannons spiralled, which kept the air particles together. Such good fun!

I am always interested to see what your class is up to next! These experiments look very interesting AND fun! My favourite kind of learning;-)

Did the experiments prompt your thinking and create new questions that might lead on to new experiments for you?

I wondered what size a toothbrush would need to be for the elephant toothpaste?

  9. Hello those experiments look so cool and fun. The cannon looks very cool and it looks like it would be fun to use. I would really like to do that one day.
(Suggestion) It would be good if you could put some more pictures of you all working.

  10. Kia Ora room 23! I like the way you treat a visitor kindly.
Hopefully next time you could try to get instructions so other schools could do it. Well done!

  11. Hi Rm 23. I really liked the pictures of your class doing science experiments, especially the one the volcano because we are learning about volcanoes at the moment too. Next time you could make a video too. I would love to see it.
