Green Week medal winner
We are very proud of Amy, our Enviro champion! Amy and her whanau take the time to look after our school heihei (chickens) on the weekend. Ka mau te wehi Amy!
Congratulations Amy - you certainly deserve it with all of the extra time and energy you put into the chickens. Thank you for looking after our school and our planet.
Kia Ora Room 23 Great job Amy for looking after the chickens after school. You really deserved the award for sacrificing your own time for the school and I am sure the chickens are very happy too.
In our school me, my friends and the rest of my year are working on getting a Bronze medal. We have teachers and we will say the good things we did for the day and we will have to continue that for a whole term or more then we will get one.
I am really happy to see that another student is doing something like what we are doing. I will try to earn the Bronze medal like you won your one. I really don’t have anything helpful to say but maybe if your school fundraises for stuff you can volunteer. Like really, excellent job.
Well done Amy, I think you are so thoughtful. All of those heihei they needed you. I wish our school had a pets to look after. I think you are a great student for doing that.
Congratulations on your medal and keeping your school chickens happy and healthy! I wish our school had a animal like a cat or chickens to look after if we did I would like to tame them. :)
At home we have a cat called Monty and a rabbit called Ricky, Monty thinks he is king of the house and Ricky is very accident-prone he lost his ear to a different cat! At my grandparents farm we have a huge pet sheep called Lucy who thinks she is a goat and bunts us over! A pet goat called Georgie with huge horns and another goat called Fergus who jumps on your back if you bend over!
I would like to acknowledge Amy for looking after the chickens in the greenhouse on the weekend.
Did they lay any eggs while you were looking after them? Maybe next time you could take a photo of you holding a chicken or a egg.
This reminds me of a time when I had to look after someone else's chickens because they were away on holiday. There were four of them. It was hard because they keep on running away
