Books we're reading

Room 23 are reading two novels at the moment - Trash by Andy Mulligan, which we are reading as a shared book, and The Astounding Broccoli Boy by Frank Cottrell Boyce, which Mr Bennett is reading to the class. Although we haven't finished either of them, we'd already recommend them to other readers!

  4. Kia ora Room 23,
My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Facilitator based in Whangarei. I have the lucky job of reading through the Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu class and individual blogs and leaving comments. I really like that you have shared the books that you are reading as a whole class to inspire others to read too. I read Trash and really enjoyed it. I like that it gave me a view into how other people live. It made me realise how lucky we are to live in New Zealand. What do you like about the book? What is it that hooks you in to listening?
    Nga mihi nui
