Manaakitanga

A big focus for our class all year is manaakitanga - kindness and empathy. As part of this, our students spend a few minutes each afternoon filling in manaakitanga notes, where they write about kind gestures other students have made or given them that day. On Fridays, we share these notes with the class, and we draw out Manaakitanga winners to win prizes. Rania, Poppy and Ethan have already won this year with their kind, caring ways.

Here are our winners this week - Noah, Mahalia, Naeem, Nadia and Dylan. Mahalia also picked up the Duffy Award for a great attitude this week. Nga mihi nui ki a koutou!

  1. Hey Room 22. Great post and congratulations to the 'winners' for this week. Manaakitanga is a huge focus at Pt England School (Tamaki) and there are some great people there to connect and share with. Have a look at their school website www.ptengland.school.nz.
