Camp!

Our Year 5-6 camp at Chosen Valley was awesome! Thank you very much to the parents for their support, and Ms Green for organising such a successful week. It was wonderful to see everyone challenging themselves and having a great time. We are sure everyone slept well on the weekend!

That looks like a very interesting and fun camp.

We also just recently went on camp to Kaikoura and it was really fun and we also stayed in a marae which is even better

What activity did you find the most fun?
Is there anything else you did on camp?
How far did you have to travel to get there?
What would you change in the whole camp?

    1. Kia ora Joseph,

My favourite activity was the flying fox. Another thing that was fun was the go-karts. We had to travel 45 minutes to get there. There's nothing I would change about the camp, there was nothing bad! Kaikoura sounds like a cool place for a camp too.

  2. Kia ora Manaia,
We had mattresses back at the camp, but on the last night those children who were keen went to some huts in the bush to sleep...and yes, they slept on wooden floors! It wasn't a great sleep but it was a great experience1

  3. Kia ora Te Ora,
I enjoyed camp. It was a fun time and my favourite parts were the flying fox and the confidence course. Where do you guys go on camp?

  4. Kia ora Mace,
The huts were cool but a group of us only slept in them for one night. The rest of the camp we slept on comfortable mattresses. It would have been a bit sore to sleep like that for 3 nights!

  5. Kia ora Lakin,
I didn't sleep in the hut, I stayed back and slept in a cabin on a mattress. I was a bit sore so thought I would not go up to the hut on the last night. The part of the camp I liked most was the flying fox. I hope your camp was fun!

  6. Kia ora Rivir,
I didn't go to the hut, I stayed in the cabins so we had mattresses instead of wood! I think going to a marae for camp sounds awesome. I haven't been to a marae before.

  7. Kia ora Mikaere,
We ate our meals in a large hall and I didn't go into the bush because my friend was having trouble sleeping and I wanted to comfort her.

  8. Kia ora,
I didn't want to go to the huts because it would be too cold! My favourite part of camp was the silent dinner. In the silent dinner you can't talk, you have to write to each other instead. It was hard but fun!

  9. Kia ora Cassidy,
It was kind of comfortable sleeping on wood and fun at the same time! I loved being out in the bush and not sleeping in a cabin and hearing all the night sounds like moreporks. I like it more than the city. I'm the one second from the left in the first photo wearing the camouflage and a black hat.

  10. hello room 23 that looks like a fun camp. I like how you put up so many photos. My school has recently been to camp Raglan. I am glad we got to sleep in proper cabins. I would like to know how long you stayed there and what days you went though?
    bye

  11. Thanks for your comments Anaru. Chosen Valley is in an area called Ararimu, which is in rural South Auckland. It was great fun!
